If you’re looking for a new hairstyle, the spring and summer are the perfect times of the year to try something new. In fact, it’s the perfect time of the year to try something short too. You can rock a fun look, a new color, or a fresh new cut.
Each year there are new popular hairstyles that the fashion magazines predict or favor. You could try one of those, or you could try something all your own. Maybe even go to the salon and tell them to surprise you. Here are some of the things you could get done in order to change up your look.
Cuts
Even if cutting your hair isn’t the only way to make a change to your hairstyle, it is still one of the quickest and easiest ways. If you have long hair you may want to keep it long, or you might want to go short while the weather is warm.
There are many options when it comes to haircuts, from the classic bob to asymmetrical styles. You could try a pixie cut or a mohawk. You do want to consider what type of cut will work best with the shape of your face too (your salon professional will be able to help with this).
Colors
You can change your color without getting a cut and still walk out with a completely different hairstyle. Colors can be fun to change and try new things with as well. You can go natural or go crazy. You can try a shade close to yours but in a different tone, or do something completely opposite of your natural color.
You also don’t even have to dye your whole head. Try getting your hair frosted or get highlights, just to add a little different look to your hair and your style.
Textures
Texture is also something that can make a difference when it comes to the look of your hair. If you have naturally curly hair you can change the texture using a straightener. People with naturally curly hair often use luxury hair care products to keep their hair in a manageable and healthy state, so that they can straighten it when they wish. If your hair is normally straight you can use a curling iron or a waver to add some curl and body to it.
You can also opt for fun textures. Invest in a spiral curling iron or a crimper and try something new and fun.
Extensions
If you have short hair and you don’t want to wait for it to grow to have long hair, try extensions. If your hair is already long, but it’s not as full as you would like it to be, try extensions to add more volume. Extensions serve many purposes in the world of hairstyling, so why not give them a go!
