Photo blog post: Decorating the bedroom

So since we moved in last year, we’ve been tackling the decorating room by room. Originally, we thought about just doing the spare bedroom a neutral colour, but decided this was boring, and instead opted for… GREEN!

We saw a few ideas on pinterest, and decided we were going to go for it, so stripped the walls back to the plaster, and got a tester pot from B & Q:

The colour looks quite loud before it dries!

After doing half a wall and letting it dry, we decided to carry on and get the room done in all this colour, just to liven the place up a bit.

Check out the photos below of the progress of the room, from initial painting to nearly finished (needs tidying up around the ages and the radiator going back, but we’re almost there!)

Some green accessories to match the room!
Some green accessories to match the room!

We got a few cushions in Asda to match the walls, and picked up a small clock and candle holder in Cyprus with a similar sort of green to them. Some people say it looks like snot, others say it looks like an Ikea showroom. For us, it’s the spare room but the first non-magnolia room in our house, so we’re happy with it!
