Crossbite, crowded teeth, overbite, gapped teeth and underbite are just some of the mild to moderate alignment issues you may have which can be addressed with Invisalign Macleod. Invisalign offers a discreet and convenient way to realign teeth in as little as 6 to 18 months. Each week, patients wear a new aligner, so that their smile gradually moves into the correct position. And, as your smile gets sweeter every day, you could feel sweeter every day too!
What are aligners?
The aligners apply pressure to the teeth to carefully move them into the correct position. They are made of plastic and are worn over the teeth like a gumshield. Invisalign’s aligners are far more streamlined, however, because they are made to measure patients’ mouths precisely and should, therefore, be as comfortable as possible. Using iTero technology, a dentist will digitally scan each patient’s mouth to get the measurements for the aligners to be made in Invisalign’s laboratories. From this scan, they can also generate an animation of how the patient’s smile will look after treatment has been completed, so there is a clear goal in sight!
Once the aligners are made, they can be removed for up to 2 hours a day, which means that they don’t need to be worn when eating, so no food types need to be avoided. Also, patients can brush and floss as normal, without having to try and clean with the aligners in their mouths.
Why should I realign my teeth?
It isn’t just for aesthetic reasons that it is wise to get your teeth realigned. By having misaligned teeth, it can lead to issues with your teeth and gums, if you are unable to clean them properly. Alongside this, you may also experience chewing problems and jaw pain if your teeth aren’t aligned properly, or issues with talking and yawning. By having your alignment issues treated, this should also resolve any problems you may have developed.
Invisalign is one of the leading brands of clear aligners. By choosing Invisalign, you can be confident that this is a brand that has treated over 12 million patients, including teenagers. The beauty of Invisalign is that this is a treatment that has a range especially for teens and it offers the discretion teens may want when they’re heading into school with aligners in their mouths. For adults, this same discretion is what can be a dealmaker as it enables adults to continue with their daily lives, heading to meetings, attending business lunches or doing a video conference, without everyone staring at their mouths!
